Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes

We'll be examining Jesus' dramatic actions, Jesus' interactions with women, and a number of Jesus' parables, mostly from Luke's gospel. Following the text by Ken Bailey, we'll look at each of these passages through the lens of the Middle East in Jesus' day and time to understand better what He was trying to say and do and why He was saying and doing what He did.

This is a long class (21 lessons) but it has been organized into several sections with standalone classes. What this means is that you can pick and choose (and come and go as your availability may permit) without losing continuity. All of Buddy’s classes are "come when you can" and "come as you are," and this one's no exception.

Prepare to be surprised! As we go through each of our scripture texts you will never see them the same again!

Class Information

Each night of the study will have Bible readings, lecture, and group discussion time. The resources you will need are found online, and you will be able to read through each lesson in advance. Even though all the scripture we read will be displayed on screen, you may still want to bring your Bible with you. (Any translation will do; bring the one you use and love the most!)

Best of all, there is no charge for the class as all materials are available online.

Class syllabus, schedule, and topics covered can be found on the class web page.
