Serve At The Church

“This church is so big, they don’t need my help”. You may think that, but it’s not true! Every week hundreds of people, like you, are needed to serve those who visit our campuses. Let us help you find the best place for you to serve others at church.

    Behind the Scenes Tour

What do you have that you would be willing to share? I invite you to think about that question as you begin the Behind the Scenes Tour. All of us have certain skills, interests, and experiences that we could share with others in a way that blesses both them and us. It’s amazing what happens when people are open-handed with what God has given them. When you look around the Mountain community, you witness a whole bunch of people giving of themselves and serving in a ton of different ways — big and small, simple and complex, public and secluded, all of which are important to our mission of making more and better disciples.

This tour is designed to give you a glimpse of that.

As you make your way around, you’ll see and hear about LOTS of different serving opportunities. And through all of it, it is our hope that somewhere along the way you would “see yourself” helping in a particular way, serving a certain group or unleashing your passions in an area where you sense God leading you. This just might be the opportunity through which you’ll take that next step of faith to say “Yes!” to the call to serve that God presents to us all.

    Students

    Event Team
Looking for a place to serve with students, but you can’t make a weekly commitment? Join our Event Team! Whether it’s going and playing a role on a trip or helping send our team and students by organizing the event ahead of time, we want you!

    Echo Team
This team helps make our high school large group environment called Echo the place to be on Sunday nights. Whether it’s serving up food or welcoming students, we have a role for you! The time commitment for this role is 2 hours weekly.

    Collide Team
This team helps make our high school large group environment called Collide the place to be on Sunday nights. Whether it’s serving up food or welcoming students, we have a role for you! The time commitment for this role is 2 hours weekly.

Small Group LeaderThis role is by far the largest time commitment and one of the hardest roles in the church, but there is no bigger investment than being a middle or high schooler’s small group leader. These truly are the rockstars of our team as they give over 6 hours a week between their time at small group, at students’ events, and at Echo or Collide.

    Student Tech Team
Whether your desire is running our program visuals, producing a light show or cranking up the volume for that guitar solo, our tech team is ready to welcome you in. If you do not have any experience, that is ok! What we ask is you have a servant heart, a willingness to learn and a desire to provide a smooth, high-energy service that helps 6th-12th graders encounter God.

    Special Needs

We are looking for both classroom buddies, and one to one buddies for our students that would benefit from the regular class environments. This ministry is highly relational, with both the student and his/her parents, so we ask for an every other week commitment for our class leaders, and an every week commitment for those serving as Buddies in our mainstreamed ministry. This is the best way that we can love on our students and develop trust and understanding, in a caring environment.

There are a few ways to sign up
    1. Pick up a Volunteer Form at the Kids Welcome Desk
    2. Email Sara Borlie.

or fill out this online form:

Training is available and we would love to get you started in this blessed ministry!
