    Adopt A Missionary

Supporting Missionaries who are "making disciples, more and better disciples" around the world.

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's various forms." 1 Peter 4:10

Connect with Missions by supporting specific families and individuals that Mountain supports. All efforts will be made to assign specific missions per your requests, however we ask that you be flexible, willing to support any mission assigned.

We anticipate that responses will allow for more than one group to connect with each of the missions. More is better. There can never be too much prayer, encouragement and love poured into those engaged in full time pursuit of the Great Commission.

Currently we have continental coordinators that will provide information and coaching on how to best stay in touch with your partner mission.

    Adopt a Missionary From:
Brazil, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, India, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, North America, Tanzania, Thailand, Southeast Asia

    LOVE your family

    • Meals and/or transportation
    • Host them in your home

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers - not because you must but because you are willing, as God wants you to be...” 1 Peter 5:2

    PRAY for your family

    • For their work
    • For their needs
    • For their safety
    • For their outreach

Finally, brothers pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1

    Child Sponsorship — Kenya

We feel called by Christ to make a difference in the lives of children. Through global partnerships, children in Kenya, Ecuador or Romania will receive food, basic medical care, and a Christian education through your monthly commitment. Bring hope to a child today.

Mathare Valley, 5 km from the center of Nairobi, is one of the oldest slums in all of Africa. Of Nairobi's 2.5 million urban poor, nearly 1 million live in an area less than one square mile called the Mathare Valley. Housing is inadequate and plumbing is almost non-existent. Unemployment is high and so is the crime rate. In these extreme conditions, thousands of parents struggle to raise their children in physical and spiritual health. Hope is a rare commodity.

You can bring hope to a child in the Mathare Valley! Through partnership with Christian Missionary Fellowship, $38/month is able to provide an education, school clothing, two meals a day, preventive medical care, and social services for the family—all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Click the button below if you are ready to share His love with a child today or would like more information.

Child Sponsorship — Ecuador or Peru

We feel called by Christ to make a difference in the lives of children. Through global partnerships, children in Kenya, EcuadorPeru, or Romania will receive food, basic medical care, and a Christian education through your monthly commitment. Bring hope to a child today.

Both Ecuador and Peru have a high number of broken families. Many mothers are head of the home, and many fathers have multiple homes and families. This results in even more extreme poverty as the fathers cannot provide for multiple households. Poverty often leads to abuse, and many women are victims of abuse from the men in their lives. Many children in Ecuador are being raised in this environment which interferes with healthy development particularly with their sense of confidence and self-esteem. With your help Compassion is fighting poverty and creating hope one child at a time.

Compassion began its ministry in Ecuador in 1974 and in Peru in 1980. As part of the Child Sponsorship Program, children attend the child development centers after school mostly. Each child receives lunch every day he or she is at the center. A typical lunch consists of soup containing carbohydrates or vegetables and meat, and a main dish containing carbohydrates, proteins and vegetables. Some centers offer snacks to the children before they go home as well, and it is very common for children under age 5 to get additional food. Generally, church partners offer soccer, art, music, dance and liturgy as extracurricular activities.

For $38/month you can provide hope to a child, give them an opportunity to become a follower of Jesus Christ and escape the trap of poverty and hopelessness. When children find out they've been sponsored, the joy they feel is indescribable. Just knowing that someone across the globe cares means more than you can imagine. Sponsoring a child in need will profoundly change the future for your child, and will change your own life as well. Click the button below if you interested in sponsoring a child from Ecuador or Peru through Compassion International.

    Child Sponsorship — Romania

We feel called by Christ to make a difference in the lives of children. Through global partnerships, children in Kenya, Ecuador or Romania will receive food, basic medical care, and a Christian education through your monthly commitment. Bring hope to a child today.

Romania, in far Eastern Europe, has a landscape similar to that of Tennessee. But its history is much different. The country fell under the influence of the former Soviet Union and was ruled by two dictators. The last dictator was President Ceaucescu, who required that each family have at least five children.

During the 1980s, Romania was suffering under difficult economic times and this decree created a crisis in family care. The government’s solution was building orphanages for children who couldn’t be cared for by their families. The treatment of children in these institutions was below reasonable standards, and for many years, children took to the streets to attempt to care for themselves instead.

Sadly, when Communism fell, the world was awakened to the horrible reality these children faced in understaffed institutions. Many children were found horribly malnourished, abused, and psychologically destroyed. Many others on the streets were found living in sewers, struggling to survive. Today the crisis continues with hundreds of thousands of children abandoned and/or orphaned to face life on their own.

Children’s Hope is a ministry of Remember-The-Children. As part of this ministry, Pastor Mihai Micula and his wife Dana are following God’s call to reach out to the orphans in Satu Mare, Romania. Pastor Mihai and Dana have adopted 24 at-risk orphaned children who now live in Houses of Hope. These children have been given far more than a home. They are lavished with God’s love and that is transforming their lives!!

    • “You would never know to look at her now what one of our girls suffered at the hands of a 79-year-old man,” Mihai says with a deep sigh. “But to see her smile now, to receive her affection, it is miraculous what God has done.”
    • “The mother of one of our girls tried to kill her on three different occasions. We cannot imagine this. But what she knows now is our love and the love of God.”
    • “One of our children did not talk for months after we adopted her. We were told that perhaps she is mentally not right. We prayed. We fasted. One day she greeted me with ‘Do you like it here? Because I love it very much.’ She has hardly stopped talking since that day!” Mihai says.

Children’s Hope sponsorship support of $35/month goes towards education, nutrition, medical care, spiritual development, and facilities. The children accepted into the homes come from orphanages after being abandoned. Their acceptance into the House of Hope is permanent. Please join this ministry by sponsoring one of these children. Your support will provide the much needed support, love, and hope that will re-shape a child’s life eternally.

    Disaster Relief Trips

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

    Isaiah 41:10

Mountain has an ongoing relationship with partners in areas where relief is still
needed. All too often the news cycles leave behind the HUGE needs stemming
from natural disasters. There are still significant needs in the Bahamas, St. Thomas,
and Wilmington, NC and we want to continue to send teams to work alongside
    our friends there.

Most of our relief work is done by partnering with International Disaster
Emergency Services or IDES. Watch this video to get a glimpse of the work IDES does around the world.

    2020 Trips to Affected Areas

We are concentrating our effort in the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and Wilmington, NC. All of these places still have incredible needs even after up to two years after the hurricanes struck. All levels of skill are needed to join WITH our friends to help with restoration. Our trips will start in February of 2020.

If you are interested in participating on a Disaster Relief Trip or have questions, please email DisasterRelief@MountainCC.org and we will add your name to regular email updates with all the details.

Please complete and return the trip application.
