    Various dates

If you're new to Mountain or simply want to learn more about what it means to be a Christian, "Welcome To Mountain" is your essential next step. Lead Pastor Ben Cachiaras or a Campus Pastor will help you discover the basics of the Christian faith, what kind of church we are and how you can be a part of this special place.

We hope to see you there!

Each Welcome to Mountain gathering provides either a meal and/or refreshments. Childcare is provided through age 10.

Note: as your Welcome to Mountain date approaches, an email will be sent to confirm your attendance. Reply and let us know if you can make it and include the names of those attending with you. Also, confirm the number and ages of children needing childcare.

    Milligan at Mountain
    Various class options

Mountain is thrilled to once again partner with Milligan College to bring two college-level ministry courses to our campus. Join us for this time of study and growth as we dig deeper into the Bible, discover its impact on the world around us, and consider our own personal journeys. These courses are open to anyone 16 years and older.

Both are college-level courses: accredited and transferable. They can be audited or taken for 3 credit hours—the cost is the same for both options. Mountain has negotiated a reduced price of $300/course. A limited number of partial scholarships are available by request. To inquire about scholarship assistance, contact Jill Shuck

To register for a course(s), please complete both Part 1 and Part 2 for each class, no later than January 28.

ACTS: A First-Century Book for the Twenty-First Century Church (BIBL 202)

The Church—Jesus planned it; Jesus loves it! How do we live like that church? In Acts we experience its founding, its inner life, and its spread. It wasn’t easy—there were problems and persecution, but God’s Spirit guided the church as it grew in numbers, diversity, and impact. Taught by Dr. Lee Magness, this class takes us on a journey of discovery, to learn the history of the early church and the hope we have to be the church today.

Preaching & Teaching for Discipleship (CMIN 495)

God’s story transcends time. From beginning to end God is creating, re-creating, leading, disciplining, and rehabilitating until the incredible climax when God’s people are redeemed, Jesus is victorious, and God is all in all! This unparalleled story begs to be told and retold, and God wants to know: who will tell my story? Who will preach my message of truth and grace and redemption? This class is for anyone willing to do just that. It will provide theological background for preaching, practical experiences, and “nuts and bolts” tools. Led by Luke Erickson and Ben Cachiaras along with several others.
